Firebird's model includes enterprise-revenue housing. The goal is to use that revenue to support housing that can be available when someone loses a home, reducing dependence on a shelter-first path.

The model is intended to create enterprise revenue that supports same-day housing assistance and reduces dependence on a single funder.
Prevent the shelter stay
The goal is not simply to move someone through shelter faster; it is to make an apartment available soon enough that a shelter bed may not be needed.
