Firebird Holdings and its planned programs remain in development. This statement describes our current website accessibility goals and practices.
Accessibility and inclusion

Accessibility Statement

Firebird Holdings LLC is committed to creating a website experience that is accessible, understandable, and usable for people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and access needs.

Effective: July 2026 Target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA Status: Ongoing improvement
Our commitment

Access should be built into every experience

Firebird Holdings believes that people should be able to access information, communicate with our organization, and understand our developing programs without facing unnecessary digital barriers.

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, Level AA . These guidelines provide a widely recognized framework for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time project. As the Firebird Holdings website grows, we intend to continue reviewing its content, design, navigation, forms, and technical structure.

No claim of perfect conformance

Firebird Holdings does not currently represent that every page, feature, document, or third-party service is fully accessible in every circumstance. We are working to identify and address barriers as resources and technology allow.

Commitment

Commitment to accessibility

Firebird Holdings LLC is committed to providing a website that can be used by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or alternative methods of accessing digital content.

Our accessibility efforts are intended to support visitors with a variety of needs, including people who may:

  • Navigate with a keyboard rather than a mouse.
  • Use screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technologies.
  • Require stronger color contrast or larger text.
  • Experience limited vision, hearing, mobility, dexterity, cognition, or attention.
  • Prefer reduced animation or motion.
  • Access the website from a mobile device, older device, or limited internet connection.

We aim to consider accessibility throughout the design, writing, development, and review of our public-facing materials.

Target standard

Accessibility standard

Firebird Holdings is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA .

WCAG organizes accessibility around four primary principles. Digital content should be:

  • Perceivable: Information should be available in ways users can perceive.
  • Operable: Website controls and navigation should be usable through different input methods.
  • Understandable: Information and interactions should be clear and predictable.
  • Robust: Content should work reliably with current and future technologies, including assistive technology.

Our current position

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is our intended design and development target. Because the website is still evolving, Firebird Holdings does not claim that every page or third-party integration has been independently certified as fully conformant.

Current website

Current accessibility features

The Firebird Holdings website is being designed with accessibility practices that include the following features.

Semantic structure

Pages use headings, landmarks, lists, buttons, links, and other meaningful HTML elements to support navigation and interpretation.

Keyboard navigation

Interactive website elements are intended to be reachable and usable without requiring a mouse.

Visible focus indicators

Links, buttons, and other controls display visible focus states for visitors navigating by keyboard.

Responsive layouts

Content is designed to adapt across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.

Color and contrast

Text and controls are designed with readable contrast, while meaning is not intended to rely on color alone.

Reduced-motion support

Website motion is reduced for visitors whose device settings indicate a preference for less animation.

Descriptive page titles

Pages use distinct titles and headings intended to help visitors understand where they are.

Print support

Important informational pages may include simplified print styles for visitors who need printed or saved copies.

Current limitations

Known and possible accessibility limitations

Some website content, integrations, or materials may not yet provide an ideal experience for every visitor or assistive technology.

Possible limitations may include:

  • Older documents that were not originally created in an accessible format.
  • Images, graphics, or media that may require improved alternative descriptions.
  • Third-party forms, donation tools, maps, videos, or embedded content that Firebird Holdings does not fully control.
  • Differences in how browsers, devices, and assistive technologies interpret website features.
  • New pages or features that may require additional accessibility review after publication.

When we become aware of a meaningful accessibility barrier, we will review the issue and work toward a reasonable correction or alternative method of access.

External providers

Third-party services and content

Firebird Holdings may link to or use services provided by third parties. These may include website hosting, donation processing, email services, forms, analytics, videos, maps, or future software tools.

Third-party services maintain their own platforms, accessibility practices, privacy policies, and terms. Firebird Holdings may not be able to directly modify every accessibility feature within those services.

We intend to consider accessibility when selecting and reviewing third-party tools. When a third-party barrier prevents access to important information or functionality, visitors may contact us to request assistance or an alternative method.

Alternative access

Documents and alternative formats

Firebird Holdings may publish reports, presentations, PDFs, policies, informational materials, or other downloadable documents.

We intend to improve the accessibility of future documents through practices such as:

  • Logical heading structures.
  • Descriptive document titles.
  • Meaningful reading order.
  • Alternative text for informative images.
  • Readable contrast and font sizing.
  • Accessible links and tables where reasonably possible.

A visitor who cannot access a document may request the information in another reasonable format. Availability and response time may depend on the size, complexity, age, and purpose of the requested material.

In development

Future services and ShelterNow

ShelterNow and other Firebird Holdings technology initiatives remain in development and are not represented as fully operational public services through this Accessibility Statement.

As future digital platforms are designed, Firebird Holdings intends to consider accessibility in areas such as:

  • Account registration and authentication.
  • Forms and data-entry workflows.
  • Dashboards and navigation.
  • Error identification and instructions.
  • Status notifications and alerts.
  • Keyboard and assistive-technology compatibility.
  • Training and support documentation.

Future platforms may have separate accessibility documentation, support processes, contractual requirements, or product-specific statements before they become operational.

Ongoing work

Testing and continuous improvement

Firebird Holdings intends to review accessibility through a combination of design practices, code review, browser testing, keyboard testing, automated tools, and user feedback.

Our ongoing improvement work may include:

  • Reviewing new pages before or after publication.
  • Checking heading structures and page landmarks.
  • Testing links, buttons, menus, and forms with a keyboard.
  • Reviewing text contrast and content readability.
  • Improving image descriptions.
  • Correcting issues identified through feedback.
  • Updating website components as standards and technology evolve.

Accessibility improvements may be prioritized based on severity, user impact, technical complexity, and the importance of the affected service or information.
